Purpose of the Community Housing Projects Fund Housing is widely acknowledged as a fundamental component of quality of life. It is a core factor in the health and wellbeing of families and development of strong communities. ASB Community Trust is interested in helping communities find their own solutions to improve outcomes for people in Auckland and Northland. This may be new, innovative projects, or it may be supporting existing providers to collaborate in new ways. Community Wellbeing Objective To support organisations that respond to the needs identified by our communities, with a focus on innovative projects that address the underlying causes of social problems. The Community Housing Projects Fund This fund supports community organisations delivering innovative pilot projects aiming to prevent or solve homelessness, or the need for emergency housing. Funding priority will be given to those projects that: • are a good fit with the Trust’s Community Wellbeing strategic objective • address an unmet need • are already working in the community housing sector • have the capacity to deliver the project • show collaboration and engagement • provide culturally appropriate services. The project must benefit either youth, women, Māori and/or the Pacific community. 1
